Please keep in mind that any information that is disclosed in forums hosted by ProBoards becomes public information. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

When posting a message to a forum hosted by ProBoards, your IP address is automatically logged with your post. The administrator of the forum you are posting in has the option to have IP addresses displayed publicly when reading the posts in the forum.

Please note that there is the "private message" / Instant Message utility to send messages to users without e-mailing them.

At the registration you can set your e-mail as "hide from public". If you haven't done so at the registration, you may still change this in your "Profile."

If a (hopefully) unlikely situation happens that you meet with harassing behaviour on these boards, please inform the administrator or moderator !

RE: Whitesnake Meeting Point forum:

The forum is a place to gather basic logistical information. Please do NOT post your mobile/cell phone numbers, details about where you live, your full name, etc. in these threads. Please use the "send private email" function to exchange information privately or you can also do this through your private email. You never know who is lurking out there on the 'net so always protect your public identity.

As with any meetings, please exercise caution when you make arrangements about who to meet, where and when. This may seem obvious, but it is worth reiterating: Never go alone to meet anyone you haven't met before and always arrange this to happen in a very public place. These words of caution don't necessarily apply to the person you are meeting... remember that "strangers" can access these threads and know where you will be and when. So don't be there alone.

Suggestions for posting in the Meeting threads: date, name and address of place (pub, restaurant, bar), and time. Any other info, please use private email at your own discretion.

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but it is our responsibility to state the obvious, not only to protect ourselves but to protect you also!
