Plymouth Pavillions gig details here: www.plymouthpavilions.com/events/details.asp?act=429 In 2005 Motorhead brought one of the loudest sound systems Plymouth Pavilions had ever witnessed at the venue. Now almost 1 year to the day, triple Grammy nominated Motorhead will head back to rock the city on Tuesday 21 November 2006. Motorhead are one of the biggest Heavy Metal bands in the world today, they are not just a part of the rock music phenomenon - they invented it. The 'rock n roll' lifestyle, the parties, the girls, Motorhead showed the world how rock stars should live. Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbeth and Judas Priest, Motorhead have toured with the best and are the inspiration for more recent rock bands including Guns N' Roses and Metalica. Motorhead offered the most groundbreaking sounds of the late 70's. 'Overkill' was their first album release in 1979, however their career progressed to another level when the album 'Ace Of Spades' was released in 1980 going straight to number 4 in the charts. The follow up album 'No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith' landed them their first number 1 in 1981. Although the band have changed their line up several times over the years, Lemmy Kilminster has always been a consistent member ensuring the band keep their raging sound throughout the 80's & 90's. He even managed to land an acting role in the movie 'Hellraiser 3', not bad for a person who started out as a roadie for Jimi Hendrix. A total of 10 UK album releases and 17 British hit singles including 3 number 1's make up 31 years as ambassadors of Heavy Metal. Tracks from their album 'Inferno' and hits from the last 31 years will make this a night not to be missed.
