 THE FUGS !!!!!! Today I received re-mastered CD ... FUGS No. 1 ... LoL, my youth is back ! ;D ;D ;D This is the music I grew on ... sort of ... which indicates I really had a rough childhood. LMAO.
It sounds so neat and sweet .... after some 35 years I heard this LP first time.

I have been listening to acoustic based music the past few weeks. Particular favorites are guitarists Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Pierre Bensusan.
Recently Nick Drake has joined my favorites as well. Currently I am studying his songwriting techniques and lyrical influences. Such riches I have been exposed to since hearing his music.
These guitarists have made such an impression on me lately that I have been focussed on writing songs and instrumentals using just acoustic guitar.
I also like listening to acoustic blues players, bluegrass and "old timey" tunes.

Conrad, this is quite impressive ! I must say I havent been listening to any accoustic music for some time.  I am in desperate need of energy so in fact since this morning I have been listening to old classy Motorhead ... in a row ! ;D While working at the same time. I really need some energy boost.... At 3 am this morning I started this rough cure with Sepultura : Schizophrenia just to put me to some peaceful sleep ...  And then when I was up again later in the morning the series continued with Motorhead : The Bronze Age 4 discs set (Ace of Spades, Overkill, Iron Fist, Bomber) ... The Hammered and Over the Top I will reserve for this evening. ;D |
