I have just checked the www.soulfly.com .... more things announced / confirmed ....
- April 29 : EXPLOITED @ Pardubice
- May 1 : EXPLOITED @ Prague ;D
- June 13 : SOULFLY @ Chemnitz, Germany
- June 16 : MOTORHEAD @ London Hammy
- June 21: SOULFLY @ Berlin
- June 24-26: SOULFLY @ Metal Open Air @ Trinec (CR)
- June 29 : SOULFLY/ VELVET REVOLVER + BLACK SABBATH @ Prague */
- July 1-3 : With Full Force Metal Fest @ Leipzig (Germany)
- July 15-17: Masters of Rock @ Vizovice (CR)
*/ My tix reads "Under the stage" area ... btw. the T-Mobile "Park" is far from anything close to a park ... it is rough open air thing on the site of some former storage / cargo place ... I was there last year for Slipknot and Metallica and it was brilliant : dust, broken bricks underfoot ... frequent trains passing by and frequent small planes from a nearby army airport flying above. ;D

Sounds kinda like a place I went to for a free show called Sloss Furnance - Really wild place.... Here's a description: Sloss Furnace began producing iron and did not stop until ninety years later. Over the decades, Sloss Furnaces gave rise to the city of Birmingham and served as a battleground for economic, employment and social reform. Now recognized as a National Historic Landmark, Sloss Furnaces is open to the public as a museum of industry which speaks to the contributions of the working men who labored there. With its massive furnaces, web of pipes, and tall smokestacks, it offers us a glimpse into the great industrial past of the South and our nation I went to see a few bands there one day, it's kinda hard to describe...the stage area was a platform and there were bricks, dust, crazy stuff. Kinda looked like an old abandoned warehouse.

'T Mobile' park looks like an army training ground or sci-fi film set! Yeah right ! .... Nice avatar, moby !!! ;D EXPLOITED in Pardubice were great fun!!!This is just a quickie : At the very moment I am sitting in a cyber cafe in Pardubice... I wisely changed my plan to use the 2 AM train back to Prague and upon arrival yesterday afternoon I checked in a hostel at the train station ... what a smart move ... the gig ended at 1.30 AM .... LMAO, what a show !!! First of all, as I have already text messaged to moby and Paulo , I absolutely LOVE the punk's high level of customer service .... not only I could SIT on the stage, I could even comfortably rest there on the piles of clothing the people aksed me to take care of (that is the advantage of appearing trustworthy) .... amidst the merry mayham ... LMAO ..... Note: those of you who happen to see Whitesnake on the US tour and have chance to speak with David ... please urge him to do something about it !!!! After this experience, the fact that one can comfortable stand under the stage will NOT DO anymore ! ;D Anyway, in Pardubice the gig venue was a tiny place packed with some 200 - 300 punks and few metal heads at most .... it started late for the crew struggled with the cables ;D ... I felt like in the old days when everything was "made on the knees" as it were, lol.. By the time the concert actually started, most got drunk or stoned. ;D What a merry gathering that was ! There were 3 Czech punk / hard core bands as support : ZATREST, KORUPCE (pretty good one) and NVU (old punks I last saw some time in the 1980s). The sound was good and the view too .... when I realized I indeed actually can sit on the stage, I got placed just next to the PA (... yeah true ... I would not dare doing that at the Motorhead gig ;D ), got my head comfortable leaned against it ... (the friendly "puff puff" of the bass amplifier in which i also got the hits of the "big drum" was sooooooooo pleasant for my strained muscles on the neck !!!! .... before the gig I got a fit of migraine, but with this treatment it went in 10 minutes !) So all was good ! .... EXPLOITED played c. between 11.30 pm - 1.30 am .... they were fking brilliant ;D .... old stuff from Dead Cities over to things rom Beat the Bastards and Fuck the System, and some Jello Biafra tunes To be continued .... my train shall arrive soon ... and BTW. get ready for some very close shots and a short video !!!! When back in Prague, I have to go back to my office to finish some stuff so I will deal with the shots in the evening and post some overnight. And I shall not forget to add ... Korupce - NVU - Exploited play again on Sunday in Prague this time .... sure I will go again. This I call THE overnight-vacation !!!
