Paulo and I went to see Joss Stone perform at Brixton Academy. She has an amazing, soulful voice that belies her young age (she's 17). However, her young age shows on stage. She needs several more years of experience to attain a mature stage persona but she's on her way. She giggled too much, screwed up one song and had to start over and gushed like a school girl about her boyfriend (well, she IS young and in love!) Most of the time, she didn't speak clearly or with enough confidence. But like I said, this girl has a serious future! I don't think I'll be buying any more of the CDs because her music is taking a pop, funky direction that I'm not too crazy about. But I love her first CD Soul Sessions, with all those classic covers and the first song "Right to be wrong" on her latest CD is amazing. ;D The Town of Zlin :  has the ambition to become the Mecca of Metal. ;D So anyway, I have just ordered ticket for Friday till Monday incl. thing called Metalmania ... Friday highlights : 20:05 – 20:45 special guest (?) 21:15 – 22:30 Apocalyptica (FIN) 23:00 – 00:15 Cradle Of Filth (GB)  Monday highlights : 17:40 - 18:45 - Morbid Angel (USA) 19:00 - 20:10 - Moonspell (P) 20:30 - 21:50 - Soulfly (Bra) What will fall inbetween I dont know ...  This thing is amidst great number of work deadlines ... But I figure a prolonged weekend as a holiday shall do no (substantial) harm. ;D Then they prepare Masters of Rock 2005 Fest for July. Its www site is right here ! ;D I have also ordered a ticket for APOCALYPTICA in Prague, April 12 I think....  |

Slipknot is headed my way......  This isn't rock, but I love her music and won two tickets to see her, Sarah Mclaughlin. That's a show that'll take place in April I was supposed to have had 3rd row tickets, but they're up in the freaking stands - damnit! Least they're free!!!!! Free is a good thing! |
