hhmmm... yeah well, heard enough women stuff and f-types-of-tricks for gettin in... Now how's about some different approach? Not that I'm gonna suggest sth... just asking... What am I supposed to do? Hope that the security/ venue owners are gay?... hmmm... no thank u... beat up the guards... well, I'd rather not, at least not until I equip myself as I do in Half-Life... then what CAN I do anyway... sit and wait for David to shout in, "Hey Bobby, come in, I got us some coffee made..." Hahhahahha,,, not in this lifetime, I guess cuz if I try waiting for that one, I might as well die of dehydration (or whatever else u can think of) waiting at the venue... that is, if the security guards don't kick my butt right out of it when they see moir beautifully awaiting David Coverdale, who's left the place about 2-3 hrs ago... So, enough about individualism, shall group approach work, how do u think? Group approach...towards the security...nah, gotta get those aggressive ideas outta mind, they ain't goin nowhere that ain't got bars... well... I feel stranded here, guess I won't be seeing David after any concerts... shame

I've always found being yourself works. I met and hung out with Slaughter 3 times, well, once I had a backstage pass. The other two times, I was outside right after they played and just "hanging out" with my friend. A security guard took pity on us and told us to wait by the buses. A roadie came by and said, wait here, Tim is on his way out, Tim did come out, put some stuff on the bus and came right back out, He said if we wanted to meet the rest of the guys, he'd go get them for us. Which he did!! We hung out with Dana and Blas the most after Tim made his way back to the bus. How fun!

I think a lot of the bands are so ready to get back on the bus and go to sleep, but a lot of them on their way to the bus stop and say, hey, how are ya? Did you enjoy the show? etc etc....
I think it depends a lot on the schedule they have to keep and how quickly they have to be to the next town. Lots of musicians hang out in the crowd during the opening act and sometimes after they play.
I saw Jeff LaBar at a Cinderella show waaaay back when out in the crowd with his girlfriend. He was rude to say the least At the same show however, I met Bill Mattson of Tangier (used to be the singer) hanging out in the sidelines after they had played and he was more than thrilled to sign an autograph and give me a hug.

Who else have I met? Oh, Andy Timmon's after a Kiss show. I met him again years later at a guitar clinic. I also met Reb Beach when he was still with Winger at a guitar clinic. Met Al Pitrelli at a guitar clinic. Was walking through the crowd at a show and the drummer from Firehouse (can't remember his name now) was running thru the crowd to go somewhere and ran right into me.
LOL, that was funny.

And I met Brad Gillis when Night Ranger was just a 3 man band. After Jeff Watson, 'Fitz' and Jack Blades left the group. They played a gig at a local Concert Club. Now THAT was cool seeing as how I'd been a fan since I was 14!!!
