Hunter S. Thompson : Hell's Angels ... It is a relatively conventional writing about an unconventional topic. ;D I am really glad the HST style of writing developed the way it did around and after the Fear and Loathing period.

I am currently reading various film books about the French New Wave movement that occurred roughly from 1958 to 1964. Directors such as Francois Truffaut, Louis Malle and many others started their filmmaking careers at that time.
One of my favorite filmmakers, Jean-Luc Godard, came from this era. He continues to make challenging films at the age of 74, his latest film is called Notre Musique.

Erich Maria Remarque "Time To Live And Time To Die." like ALL the novels that I ream of this author this one is full of reflections of life in its fullest. And sometimes not the pleasant ones. But such a deep thoughts.. Some pages make you cry.even if you're not used to. But still I think "Three Comrades" is the most...EVERYTHING novel. PS. for someone who understands. I found a place where they sell in different languages and the books are in print

Oh MY! I have been browsing the site of Remarque to find a picture and paste it here and found that in Russian they translated "A Time To Live And A Time To Die" and the original name is: "Zeit zu leben und Zeit zu sterben – A Time to Love and a Time to Die" I wonder why did that happen?

I have read a lot, but there is one author I always keep returning to - beautiful Ivan Bunin. I have re-read his novels and two of them hold so tight in my mind - the one called "Chapel" and especially the one called "Shadow Paths" - like the book. I think this one describes a lot national russian (pre-soviet) type of character. If I am online soon again I will try to find the link so you could read this stroy - it is so strong
