Sleeping Beauty







In deepest slumber, I love to dream,


Of all my favourite things, like fresh cream,


Of golden fried chicken, and tasty little fishes,


These are a few of my favourite dishes.


In deepest slumber I love to play,


Chasing Butterflies on a hot summers day,


Stalking prey amongst the bushes,


Teasing pondlife through the rushes.


In deepest slumber I love to roam,


Through deepest jungles far from home,


In darkest Africa I take a tumble,


Ne'r to go home, at least till my tummy starts to rumble.


In deepest slumber I plan my day,


What will I do? and where will I play?


But deepest slumber has to end,


When I am awakened by my loving human friend.
