Hey, what about the old gits, the grandfathers, if you will, like JUDAS PRIEST & IRON MAIDEN???!!!
They are still icons in my book. I hope they qualify for being Hard & Heavy here! "Ram It Down" & "Metal Meltdown", bay-beh!!

Oh yes indeed .... first and last time I saw Iron Maiden live was August 1980 ... first and last time I saw Judas Priest was c. 2 weeks ago. I liked JP albums, but when I heard squeeking Halford in Prague I went ... It was dreadful ! ;D

I saw Bruce Dickinson walking down my neighbourhood's main street last month. He was walking his daughter home from school. She looked like she was about 8 years old. No, he was NOT bringing his daughter to the slaughter! The next time I see him, I'm saying HI! BTW, he's not much taller than I am! ;D And did you know that he is a licensed commercial airline pilot? Up the irons!!!

I wasn't really into Dokken, old or new... but I did meet and chat with Don Dokken at the Dokken/Whitesnake/Scorpions show in Montreal on March 14, 2003. Valigrrl and Nath S from the BBS were also with me. No pics though! Don told me he really liked my glasses!

Cool!
I still have Dokken on the brain--they just got added to the playbill for the Deep Purple gig I am going to see in early September. It's gonna be Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Joe Satriani, Blue Oyster Cult & Dokken for that show.
I also got to gab with Don D. & guitarist Joe Levin after the WS gig last year at Kelseyville. Joe was a very polite, intelligent guy, and Don, when we saw him, was already wasted! He was funny, tho'. I recall there were like, 2 chicks literally hanging onto/around him practically the whole time. NO, I WAS NOT ONE OF THEM!!
I wish I could've seen Jeff Pilson & George Lynch. Oh well, maybe one of these days.
I'm looking forward to "rockin' with Dokken" again in the near future (a little over a month away!). ;D
