And we were getting to the end of the fest ... after the Hellacopters the ground and people got watered again ... i also guess that one of the reason may have been to make the ground a bit softer .... as a matter of fact, during Anthrax i have witnessed couple of hard falls in the mosh ... lmao ... especially one guy tried hard to be lifted above people s heads and then transferred above the barrier .... yet people failed him couple of times and the falls were pretty hard ! ;D At the end he actually managed ....


But anyway, so far so good ... so what !

Anthrax were seemingly in difficult position : they were scheduled to play before Motorhead and they ended up to play their (a bit postponed) time as well as Motorhead's time .... from the stage there were lots of words spoken for Lemmy and MH .... and gradually the gig turned into fantastic party .... especially the second part of their show was fantastic, full of energy and "feelings" .... They played old stuff as well as newer, and all was warmly accepted .... mosh was wild but for some reason because of the atmosphere people "affected" by the mosh (ie not directly participating) did not really mind .... this part had true "metal brotherhood spirit" !!!! ;D
























btw. that sdign reads ... Let sing Ace Of Spades for Lemmy !!!! ..... the Anthrax and people then devoted "I am the Law" to Mr. Kilmister

And that was almost it .... the gigs continued till 2.30 at the tent stage ... we had still something like 2 - 3 hours till our bus would be ready for departure, so i moved towards the tent stage to have coffee there and check out some bands that were to play there ....

I almost missed SUBWAY TO SALLY ( www.subwaytosally.com ) .... but i didnt miss Finnish folk/black metal FINNTROLL / www.finntroll.net ..... OMG ... they were fantastic !!! Since the area in/around the tent stage was packed, i was rambling outside of it, following the gig from some distance .... but i still enjoyed it great deal ... and just from the music i could tell what was going on out there ..... Again I never heard them before so this was another flash from the clear sky ... as soon as another chance occurs to go and see them, i definitely will do that.



When back in Prague i got their 2004 release "Nattfödd"





After this gig we moved towards the camp, i still had to pull down the tent and then off we were back to Prague.


It is almost sure that i will do WFF again next year ... so far the fest proved to have very strong set of bands, well prepared programme ... also when it comes to overall management, organizational matters i could hardly find a thing to complain about ... well, apart for lack of water available for washing.

WFF is easily best metal / hard core / more extreme forms of music fest in the region.



I have just ordered the year 2004 double DVD from WFF and am eagerly waiting for the year 2005 edition that shall be out in autumn this year.
