What are you doing at Christmas / New Year ?

Just curious. Looking at the "fireworks" I just thought about Christmas .... on my side I will do my best to relax a bit, spend some time watching films like extended FOTR version, music DVDs (just bought the DVD player, lol) ... Starkers in Tokyon, and yay ... I got DVD of Apocalyptica, so that would also be real treat.

Then I will try to go to some of Prague churches for Christmas concerts ... and when it comes to work, this time I will be focusing on light stuff only, such as evaluating grant proposals that were submitted to the City Council of Prague for funding (40 projects ... ) , preparing for our reporting that will be due February - March ... and couple of things that are not matter of life/death, however, I am kind of behind the schedule ;D .

Anyway, I hope my this year Xmas wont be like my past 10 years Xms, i.e. : all work no fun !

What do I plan on doing? NOTHING!!! Since Im a teacher, I get 2 glorious weeks off in which I will do nothing but relax , read, party hard with friends, watch movies and just simply veg out ! I need to refuel for when I tackle my class of 32 munchkins in january!

I cannot drink any alcohol ... not that I am a convinced abstinent, but back in 1995 I was in Istanbul for some conference and caught something of unknown "origin", ;D ... (the doctor kept saying I had something with gall-bladder ... but after 3 weeks of hell the specialist in hospital to which I got by sheer coincidence said that it was most likely cholera which I successfully healed by sheer strength of will, ;D ...) .... so anyway, I stick to coffee !

(Though if in small amount, I do not mind Harvey's Bristol Cream or some Bourbon .. Jack Daniels, e.g. ... but it is really rare ! )
