If anyone is looking for a nice hotel near the Hammersmith Apollo, I recommend the Hammersmith Novotel West London. I stayed at that hotel twice last year and I was able to book a room through the Internet for £65/night, I believe. It's worth doing a search on the 'net for a similar rate. (Here's a tip, never ask for a single room if you are one person... there is a surcharge for this. Always book a double/twin room).

Anyway, even if you can't get the rate I got last year, it may still be worth booking it for £100+. For the second most expensive city in the world, that's still a good rate. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Hammersmith Apollo and it's near the Hammersmith tube station. A mini-cab fare to or from Heathrow is £27. Don't take a black cab (too expensive). Plannin' a trip to Newcastle for the 2nd show there ....10-29. Want a 3 or 4 star Hotel. Will also stay in London a night or 3 in a 4 star Hotel. Goin' black cab in London Towne as I did once before...Lovely! Hope to get tix for Dublin tooo. Hope to connect with many BBSers.

For those who are in Easyjet destinations (www.easyjet.com), this is a great airline to use. Flights arrive in London at either Luton, Stansted (and sometimes Gatwick) airports, depending on where you are coming from.

Luton and Stansted airports have trains and bus service to/from London. Try www.stanstedexpress.com (Stansted train), www.thameslink.co.uk (Luton train), National Express Airport at www.nationalexpress.com (Stansted bus) and Express Coach 757 at www.greenline.co.uk (Luton bus).

Gatwick:
