Sarah, So glad to see this place established, as I'm planning to be more than slightly drunk myself tonight!!! Anyone got any MAD drunken stories to share with us here...or any MAD and BAD cocktail inventions..... Actually, I have a "non-drunken" story. I was out at a pub one night with a bunch of friends who all proceeded to get completely sloshed. All I had to drink that night was water (I was being a good girl.. I know, how unlike me, but I digress...) Anyway, guess who took a tumble down the stairs? Me!! I injured my foot! My career as a flamenco dancer was over... even before it began!;D |

So, you wanna story mi' dear ?...........here goes, The scene, a freinds house(They were away for the new year)New years eve 1982-83, Newly bought copy of "Perfect strangers" A bottle of smirnoff Blue, 2 Teacups and "Tigger" for company....having previously purchased "fancy" dress for the evenings revels "Tigger"as a wizard and myself a tramp(Stereotyping again I see!) we commenced to down the bottle of juiced stalinberries....well I never! all gone in about 1/2 an hour..........we adjourned to the seat of one of Norwich's finest black cabs(Half full teacups in hand) and proceeded to The "Mucky Duck"(Black swan) to partake in the revelry...after much intake of further noxious spirits, I keeled over into the open fire,set fire to my hat and was wandering around the pub looking for a soda fountain (I eventually ended up putting my head down the toilet & flushing it to douse the flames!) after being violently sick 3 times.......(It was the smell of the smoke & singed hair I tell you!) It was around midnight, by this time I had told everyone what I thought of them (23 hugs & 3 fights later) It chimed midnight....so as is my wont , I eschewed the Public house and ran to the nearest phonebox followed by "Tigger" at a run, now if you can imagine he is 6'3" already but wearing a wizards hat & cowboy boots....well I would have put it at 7'11" easily he decides that now is the time to fall, at a run, full length along a cobbled street...OUCH!, I never got to make the phonecalls, I was too busy laughing, the rest of the night passed in a blur, god only knows what I did, how I did it or why, but I woke up with the most wonderful case of "Brewers Flu" that I have ever had !! As a matter of fact, when I was offered a 1/2 pint of mild the next day, I INSTANTLY THREW UP.......that the kind of thing you are looking for Sarah?........... ;D
