The Minsk Show
Hi, I’d like to express my impressions from Minsk’s concert of Whitesnake. First of all I’d like to inform everybody that such world’s famous people and bands are rather rare in our country. I don’t know why but most people don’t even know about our country existence. Although we are good listeners and well informed people who like music and can pay 50-100 and even more dollars for one ticket. That is why I was rather surprised from the news that David Coverdale with his WS coming to our country. I’ve bought thickets immediately and couldn’t believe in that fact that I saw this show. I was sitting in the first row directly before the stage. How it is difficult to wait… to wait the miracle… One hour passed. The palace was full of people. We all needed WS. The people that presented in the concert were very different. There were people from 15 till 50 y.o. Some people were whispering to each other remembering their youth and the David Coverdale’s events and projects, other looking to the stage, another try dancing and moving their lags. Finally we saw THEM on the stage and it’s immediately became the main event of the year in my life. I can’t see any sense to describe all those feelings that were inside of me and what was in my head. I think that there is no such words in any language to describe it all. All I can write is that two weeks past and it seems to me that this concert was only yesterday. I was very surprised with organization of the concert. I didn’t expect such free behavior from police people. Anybody didn’t look into your bag and there were no one from police between sitting rows and inside “dancing floor”. I also was surprised with the sound. I expected it worse. I liked this atmosphere of freedom when it was possible to move from one sector to another in order to meet your friends or to visit (sorry) toilet. It’s unnatural for country, because in most concerts it’s almost impossible even to move to another row and halls are full of police. I don’t know where it is one of the condition of Whitesnake band or it’s common organization of such kind concert – but it was great and it’s very large PLUS to the organization. I think that it was one of the reasons why everybody felt them like in big friendly family. As for me I could seat in this concert 2,3,4… hours. I didn’t want to leave it when everything was over. It was so sad and pity to look on to the empty and dark stage and wait …”maybe they play one more song”…. Well, concert was great; David is still good looking sexy man; the band is professional and exciting (Marco is a devil, Tommy’s hairdo is super). Music is marvelous, David’s voice charming, wonderful, impressive and still strong. Hope, we could see all of you and especially David one more time.
