I have become fixed on Soulfly lately .... It was only recently that I saw them live (Judas Priest concert in Prague) but their CDs really got me.

My absolute faves are their albums Prophecy - just released, and Primitive.

I have also their Soulfly (nameless) album, but that one I havent heard it properly though.

Soulfly are offspring of Sepultura, they mix brutal sound with "ambient" and "ethnic" music which creates sometimes most amazing contrasts, and when it comes to lyrics ... so far what I heard / read ... well, they are strong language / lyrics with strong message / spiritual content ... I shall actually ask David what he thinks of LL concept brutally voiced. ;D

Anyway, step by step I have bought all their 4 albums ... I absolutely adore and recommend the PRIMITIVE and the PROPHECY, their latest release.

Btw. if anyone is going to buy PROPHECY (i.e. : You better do ! ;D ) make sure to get the digipack / this cover :



This edition contains some additional stuff plus live recordings from a Swedish concert (tunes are from the Primitive album) ... so you receive it all in one album.


Amazon.de contains some music samples !


Btw. if you check their lyrics ... especially @ the Prophecy album, it is kind of Love and Light expressed in rather brutal way. ;D They for sure are religious freaks.

Soulfly's the Song Remains Insane DVD will now be released on April 4th following the the withdrawal of the original defective version. Purchasers should check that they are buying the DVD in a plastic case with a catalogue number of RR 09708 to ensure that they are getting the correct version.
