LMAO ---- I have to check out the movies you all mentioned. The only one from the list above I have seen several times was the HERO ... I love that movie, Dagmar. I just came home from the cinema ... Coffee and Cigarettes : www.coffeeandcigarettesmovie.com (Director: Jim Jarmusch) . This thing has just arrived to our cinemas ... my main reason to go and see this set of short stories was Iggy Pop and Tom Waits, and also Kate Blanchet .... Now I do recommend this to all coffee and cigarettes addicts (as well as those who strongly oppose them !) , though it is actually more about (un)poetic mis-meetings, as it were. ;D Btw. e.g. Mary, for you as Italian, this movie is a must ... guess what, they all drink Coffee Americana ... ie.. that filtered shit !!! ;D ... And also, Pina, you as a cofee hater would appreciate all those ruined, f***ked characters in it. Anyway < Recommended !

Okay, I've watched a couple movies in the last few weeks that are just HILARIOUS!
Both are British, one is Shaun of the Dead....very tongue in cheek hilarious. I recommend it if you like a lot of symbolism, dark humour, etc.
Saving Grace is also hilarious, here's a writeup:
Two-time Oscar nominee Brenda Blethyn shines as Grace Trevethyn, a widow without a cause or cash when her husband dies and leaves her in debt. Undaunted, Grace turns her green thumb to gardening ganja, and everyone in her small English town soon gets high on more than life. With a touch of romance and a heap of scathing Brit-wit, Saving Grace is an offbeat treat.

The Village - by M. Knight Shyamalan
One word AWESOME!
In a quiet, isolated village in olde Pennsylvania, there lies a pact between the people of the village and the creatures who reside in the surrounding woods: the townspeople do not enter the woods, and the creatures do not enter the village. The pact stays true for many years, but when Lucius Hunt seeks medical supplies from the towns beyond the wood, the pact is challenged. Animal carcasses, devoid of fur, begin to appear around the village, causing the council of elders to fear for the safety of the village, the pact, and so much more.
