Yeah, Alan Rickman is great as Marvin the Paranoid Android... the chronically depressed robot, infused with GPP (Genuine People Personalities). I also love Bill Nighy's role (Slartibartfast) and how he "builds" the world! Love that theory!! ;D And having myself worked in a government office, I howled at the bureaucracy of the Vogons! John Malkovich (Humma Kavula) is just plain creepy!! Check out the website. It's GREAT!! This is the US one: hitchhikers.movies.go.com/UK one: www.thefilmfactory.co.uk/hitchhikers/global/?countryID=§ion=&datastr=&

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy also mentions alcohol. It says that the best drink in existence is the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. It says that the effect of a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is like having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick. This is the drink I was talking about AND ta da!!!! the recipe: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan_Galactic_Gargle_Blaster

Right ... on walking from my partners office I thought to have a look at the time schedules for Harry P. IV ... got one of the last tickets, sat in the first row right under the screen .... JfC ... what a stinker ... I suffered through the first part and hoped for the 2nd half to be at least slightly better ... what shall I say : empty, vacant movie full of piled up glossy, showy shots and "actions" with nothing behind them ... after the 3rd part I did not think they would come up with something so free of any spirit.... it is funny to see a British director managing to produce a thing that looks like an expensive Hollywood movie at its worst. Or perhaps it is that I wasnt in mood for an adolescent movie full of hormones on the run and cheap poses. Anyway, after a very long time I felt like going to a pub and get drunk ! ;D
