;D I am becoming a movie goer, LMAO ... good thing is that many cinemas do late night shows ... so I finally got to see Chinese-lang. movie HERO ... RECOMMENDED !!! I loved it + liked it by far better than its ...erm ... "lookalike" Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon ;D Fantastic camera, splendid sceneries and a very good story. Perhaps one of the best "history" + martial arts films I ever seen. ;D Btw. The cinema where they did that late show was Perstyn in the city centre - maybe Dagmar is familiar with it. It is a cafe like cinema ... there were some 5 people altogether, friendly staff and reasonably good coffee ! ;D

Mystic River Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Kevin Bacon, Laurence Fishburne.... excellent. I hope Sean or Tim get an Academy Award for this! The movie is directed by Clint Eastwood. mysticrivermovie.warnerbros.com/index.php

I must admit I saw quite a few films on DVD lately ... many of them were with Johnny Depp (yeah, the Pirates are to blame for that, lol). So anyway, when it comes to the cinema, apart for the LOTR/RotK premiere in Prague, I went to see - Underworld ... well, it is OK for its category
- Once Upon a Time in Mexico ... Depp was alright, actually pretty good, but in general I had a feeling of a film that tried to be like a Quentin Tarantino thing yet without his "lightness" ...
When it comes to DVD, there were many ... all of them I saw for the first time. However there is one I really want to recommend, and that is : Now the reviews for that film goes as follows : "If Gilliam was intending to create a film that would disgust, disorient and eventually irritate, then this one’s a bona-fide masterpiece – but don’t expect me to sit through it ever again." "Fear and Loathing is best enjoyed by those who are just as stoned as the characters in the movie...." Well, I was not stoned when watching this film, but I sincerely confess, I did enjoy it !!! ... In fact, I just ordered the book on which the film is based (by Hunter S. Thompson) from amazon. Oh well, my taste is somewhat lessened of late. ;D

I really enjoyed Fear and Loathing, Jana. I have seen it several times. NOT stoned or drunk I might add! I think it is an excellent example of why NOT to do drugs! I am a great fan of Terry Gilliam's films. Anyone seen BRAZIL?

I am a great fan of Terry Gilliam's films. Anyone seen BRAZIL? I still have to see that one, although the thought of plastic surgery scares the hell out of me! ;D I have seen The Fisher King and Twelve Monkeys and loved them both.
