Paulo and I saw Billy Connolly perform last night at the Hammersmith Apollo! His show is called "Too Old to Die Young". ;D It was absolutely brilliant!

Billy Connolly may have turned 60 a couple of years ago, but Britain's greatest living comedian shows no sign of slowing down. Earlier this year, he was busy gigging in New Zealand, while filming a new series of his World Tour TV travelogues, and this week he kicks off a marathon 18-date run at Hammersmith's Carling Apollo. Apart from a couple of benefit gigs earlier this year, in memory of his manager Malcolm Kingsnorth, these are his first British performances in over three years. Back onstage, Connolly's loquacious eloquence remains a marvel. The Apollo holds 3,700 punters (that's 67,000 tickets over 18 nights), but filling seats is the easy part. The Big Yin is one of those rare comics who can really hold this huge barn together, and make strangers feel like friends.
