hey Lovehunter...have you read "the picture of Dorian Gray"? did u like it? that has been on of my everytime fave book...I loved "1984" of Orwell....mmmm....I'm still shocked! I saw the "big brother" around me for months...poor Mary... I'm going to buy Bunin....

Mary, yes, I have just read Dorian... It is wonderfull, I mean, I felt in love with the book and I think it is magical and some kind of manifest. I loed it indeed. maybe it is time for Orwell - but there've been pretty too much of big brother, you know, even now... And Bunin- I am sure you'll love it - he's deep and very sensitive about relations between man and woman. please read the Shadowed Paths cycle of stories...

Mary, you will unlikely find a happy end in Bunin's books, but you'll still be satisfied - breathtaking... AND if we need happy relations, we have... we have... we have DAVID and OUR GOODSLEVES! don't we?

I've just readed "The Venezian's Wife", from Nick Bantock, and I really liked. I think now I´m very afraid of using Internet! hahahaha. MARY, I think you would like this book, much more "easy" than 1984, but with the same flavour. Sabine
